Description

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Residency Program Director to provide oversight to all aspects of program administration and representing the program within the sponsor institutions and to external organizations.  The program director has authority and accountability for the operation of the program in accordance with ACGME Emergency Medicine program requirements and institutional requirements. VCU Health is a Level 1 Trauma Center in Richmond, VA 



Requirements

In accordance with ACGME guidelines, the program director must have a current certification  in Emergency Medicine by ABEM and be clinically active in Emergency Medicine.  Applicant must be a minimum of 5 years out of residency training.  The applicant must have at least 3 year’s experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine program.  Must demonstrate interest, commitment and leadership in education with excellent communication skills.
