The Department of Emergency Medicine at Mass General Brigham is seeking an emergency physician for the academic faculty position of Chief, Division of Medical Toxicology. Clinical responsibilities may include coverage at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE), and Foxborough Urgent Care (UCC). BWH and MGH are academic teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School and host the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) program. The Harvard Medical Toxicology Fellowship Program is hosted at Boston Children’s Hospital. The successful candidate will have completed residency training in Emergency Medicine and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Formal Toxicology fellowship training is expected with Board Certification in Medical Toxicology.

Job Description: Division Chief, Medical Toxicology
The Mass General Brigham Department of Emergency Medicine, Division Chief of Medical Toxicology will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee the Medical Toxicology consult service at Mass General Brigham. This includes on-call scheduling to ensure medical toxicology coverage at MGB and for the regional Poison Control Center. It includes ensuring high-quality clinical care is provided for consults. It includes ensuring appropriate coding, billing, and supervision of financial management of the Division.
- Coordinate Medical Toxicology faculty onboarding and credentialling at MGB.
- Coordinate with the Harvard Medical School (HMS) Medical Toxicology Division and Consortium consisting of Harvard-affiliate members Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA).
- Support the supervision and mentoring of toxicology fellows.
- Maintain communication and visibility of Medical Toxicology Division.
- Support and oversee Division research projects, extramural funding, and academic career development of members of the toxicology division.
